Innovative Initiative Grants are one off grants designed to support unique activities in teaching, research and student life or to provide start-up funds for new, curricular initiatives. IIG grants are funded by donors to the University of Edinburgh Development Trust’s Edinburgh Fund. Donors are largely alumni, or friends of the University.

The Social Responsibility and Sustainability Student Project Grant provides funding for student groups or societies looking to develop and implement projects around several themes: Energy and carbon, fair trade, food and drink, resource efficiency, sustainable learning and teaching and sustainable travel.
